1st, I need to apologize for an error on the dates. 6/20 was
in error it was supposed to be 6/27. Here is this years trail with
all permits stamped and commitments made. It is always a
challenge with with many organizations vying for fewer and fewer
locations. As you know this year in July and August, the
state reduced numbers at many ramps taking bodies of water
out of play. We do our best to find facilities that
accommodate our needs and make the day enjoyable.
Every year we review what works, what doesn't and what needs
to work better. The officers are meeting on Feb 1st to go over this so
please
send me any thing you observed from last year that needs
tweaking.
---CHANGE for 2010 SEASON--
We are at 3 state ramps this year. We are going to have to
change how we handle our registration this year to accommodate the EPO
process.
The forms will be released to the website the first week in
February. The deadlines for the forms will be April 1st.
If we are below 25 boats at the state ramps at the
close of registration on April 1st, then those events will be capped at
25. In order to hold your spot, you should consider at least using the
pay 1/2 upfront option. Onsite registration at state ramp
facilities may be limited to the spots up to 25 depending if an
EPO was ordered based on the April 1st numbers. If we have over 25
pre-registered by April 1st then we will amend our permits and engage
an EPO. This year if you commit to fishing an event that has an EPO and
you have to withdraw, your deposit may not be refundable and we will be
discussing this at our directors meeting on Feb 1st. This is just to
prepare you and you will see a modification this year in the
registration process. The reason being if we have say 27 boats
committed to fishing at the April 1st deadline, then we order an EPO.
If a few weeks before an EPO sloted event we have 2 boats
pull out then you have stuck the rest of us with a $400 EPO bill that
we wouldn't have needed to paid. As you saw last year we were jumping
through hoops with this. We have learned and that is why we have to
make this adjustment.
